On Boxing Day 2012 (Wed 26th Dec) at the Prince Bandroom in St Kilda, a handpicked selection of some of Australia's most respected and talented MC's will grace the stage for MASTERS OF CEREMONY, a showcase of solo Hip Hop artists who are considered craftsmen in the Australian Hip Hop landscape. Each emcee has a unique style that sets them apart from the next; from Melbourne to Sydney to Adelaide, these 6 MC's will deliver an authentic Hip Hop show that will guarantee entertainment from beginning to end.
Hosting the night will be one of Melbourne's most likeable MC's, Eloquor, while the Wax Museum DJs will be laying down selections throughout the night backed up by Staen 1 (3 x Aust DMC Champ), Pete Cargo & Madcap who plan to keep that holiday vibe rockin' into the late hours.

Big Noise – DAZED Benefit Show

Get down and support local producer/mc DAZED.

The local hip hop scene has put forward some of it’s finest to do a benefit show featuring a slew of talent from Melbourne (and Hau from Sydney to make sure they behave) who are all contributing their time to help him cover his bill for the hearing aids. Not only will the live show be insane but the folks from Obese, Broken Tooth and Elefant Tracks have all chucked in a stack of product to give away on the night!

Nice wrap up and edit from the recent Melbourne Secret Walls event.

Secret Walls Round 2 was between Conrad "RAD" Bizjak and Steve Cross, we had a huge turn out with amazing artwork thrown down by both artists. Steve Cross won, but only just. Gallery: 5 Crown Lane & Music Farmers (Wollongong)

I misplaced a memory card from my digi camera and finally found it the other day hence the lateness with this post. Read on.

I went to Wollongong to visit family and friends over the festive season. We left a sleepy Melbourne city early in the morning to arrive in Wollongong that evening.  I unpacked the car, showered, got changed and raced into the city to check the BOOM FOR REAL exhibition at Gallery: 5 Crown Lane The gallery is a great space in the heart of Wollongong run by some good friends of mine and dedicated artists supporting the underground art scene in the Illawarra. Keep your eye on this gallery on future exhibitions

It's been probably a year since my last visit and I was pleasantly surprised when i walked though the door to to greeted by Music Farmers, a music store selling vinyl, cds, dvds, publications and more. It's encouraging to see this store pop up especially in an age where music retail stores are closing down across the country. Music Farmers have an online store so check them out as they may have some vinyl releases to help fill the gaps in your collection.
